If your pedal assist kicks in late, surges, or drops out for no reason, the PAS sensor ring near your cranks is probably out of alignment. That little ring of magnets has to pass the sensor straight and even, with about a 2–5 mm gap — no bends, no rubbing. Loosen it, square it up, and check its wire for pinches or cracks before you blame the controller.
Five minutes of alignment can make your whole ride feel brand new. Keep rolling!
