🚴 Know where you're actually allowed to ride. York Regional Police just published an official breakdown of e-bike and e-scooter rules across York Region. E-bikes need working pedals, a 500W max motor, and 32 km/h max assisted speed — break the rules and it's a $110 ticket. And heads up: e-scooters are banned in 6 of York Region's 9 municipalities — only Markham, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan allow them (with restrictions). Check the breakdown before you ride somewhere new.
