⚠️ Crucial: Measurements MUST be taken BEFORE installation!
Correct Method to Measure Hall Sensor Functionality:
-
Testing a Single Hall Sensor:
Set your multimeter toDiode Mode.
Place theRED probeon the sensor'sNegative pin (Pin 2).
Place theBLACK probeon theSignal Output pin (Pin 3).
The multimeter should display a reading ofapproximately 0.65.
Good Sensor Check:All three sensors of the same model should showsimilarreadings (around 0.65).Note: This value varies for different Hall sensor models.
-
Testing a Hall Sensor Board:
Set your multimeter toDiode Mode.
Place theRED probeon the board'sNegative pin(common for all sensors).
Place theBLACK probesequentially on eachSignal Output pin (A, B, C).
The multimeter should display a reading ofapproximately 0.65for each output.
Good Sensor Check:Readings for outputs A, B, and C should besimilar(all around 0.65).Note: This value varies for different Hall sensor models.
